Youth Rally

Hey Everyone,

The Youth Rally is this Saturday, April 28 from 7 to 9 pm. Please, please, please come and bring your friends! I think this year's rally will be awesome and it will only be get better with the more people who come.

Also, we will be having regular YF this Sunday night. Come to both!

YF Tonight

Hey Everyone,

I promised that I would try to do better with the Blog so here is today's post. Two big things to tell you:

1. Tonight we will be taking the lesson from last week and putting it into action. We will be having a Catacombs service. So be ready to sing!

2. The Youth Rally is next Saturday night. April 28 from 7 to 9 pm. Invite your friends!

Announcements!

Hey Everyone,

The Ski Trip is a Go! It will be the first weekend in March (the 2nd-4th). We will be handing out the permission slips on Sunday so be there!

Also, Pastor Bob is looking for people who would be willing to attend the Domestic Violence Vigil this Sunday night. If you would like to attend let me know and I will get you the info. Attending the Vigil will count as YF attendance for those of you who haven't been coming lately.

Superbowl

Hey Everybody!

Thanks to everyone who came to YF this week. I thought it was a great meeting. Just a reminder that this week is Superbowl Sunday so we won't be having YF. We'll meet up the next Sunday which I believe is the 11th. Below is the guideline from this week's lesson for anybody that wants to look at it. Also I've added a new link to an interesting website. Who are some people that exhibit strong leadership skills? What about them makes them good leaders?




Do you think that there is only one type of ‘good’ leadership?




Read John 13:1-17



Why do you think Jesus did this? What was the symbolism?




What do you think Jesus was trying to show about leadership by washing his disciples’ feet? How is this different from our original picture of a leader?




Peter is considered by many to be the leader of the twelve apostles. What leadership skills did he exhibit in this situation?




Jesus gave a powerful example of what it means to lead by serving others. How can we apply this idea in our own lives?
